Reflect on the process of giving and receiving peer feedback to other officers. What was it like for you to give constructive feedback to help someone else? What was it like to receive it?

I really enjoyed the process of giving and receiving peer feedback. The entire process was extremely interesting ot just because I got to read and learn from amazing work but because I found that when criticizing my peer’s work I was thinking from a delegate’s point of view. I tried analyzing the case briefs I was reviewing as if I had to debate on them, and that helped my understand what a delegate would want added, removed, and made more clear. In turn, this process allowed me to return to my own work and make many improvements using the same thought process. The feedback I received also greatly helped me improve my own work. The officer reviewing my description brought up points I never would have considered or hadn’t known of in terms of content, suggested less verbose clear statements, and was extremely helpful in terms of grammar. Not to mention, having an additional pair of eyes that reviewed my work gave me an added sense of confidence when I came to a final version of my topic description.
